Catch Me When I Fall

Well, I certainly caught Wet Seal (WTSLA) when it fell yesterday. I took a chance by buying a day ahead of its earnings, but I didn't want to miss out on any potential earnings-related upside. I guess it's obvious that I've got conviction.

Earnings for Q4 were strong, but guidance was a bit weak with the company lowering forecasts. I'm not too fazed, as it looks like a sector-wide issue, and the company is looking solid on a relative scale. Their team has got the right stuff, and I fully believe that they will continue to make progress that will take the company to a very profitable land... or, perhaps I'm delusional.

Anyway, I don't know enough about Ashlee Simpson to give you an opinion about her popularity and what her new line at Wet Seal announced today can do for sales, but I do know one thing. She has a song that loosely describes the WTSLA plight. Here you go!

Catch Me When I Fall
by Ashlee Simpson

Is anybody out there
Does anybody see
That when the lights are off something's killing me

I know it seems like people care
Cause they're always around me
But when the day is done and everybody runs

Who will be the one to save me from myself
Who will be the one who's there
And not ashamed to see me crawl
Who's gonna catch me when I fall

When the show is over
And it's empty everywhere
It's hard to face going back alone
So I walk around the city
Anything, anything to clear my head
I've got nowhere to go nowhere but home

Who will be the one to save me from myself
Who will be the one who's there
And not ashamed to see me crawl
Who's gonna catch me when I fall

It may seem I have everything
But everything means nothing
When the ride that you been on
That you're coming off
Leaves you feeling lost

Is anybody out there
Does anybody see
That sometimes loneliness is a part of me
