Piano and an Ostentatious Canine Dresser

So, JC has been wanting a piano for quite some time. Today, a piano arrived that she is test driving (i.e. renting where all of the rent can be applied in full to a purchase of any piano at the store within a year). I don't know much about pianos, but apparently this one is fairly nice. It looks like it adds positively to the living room.

Wet Seal Fan Page

Those of you who have used Facebook probably have seen those fan pages where you can become a fan of X, Y, or Z. There are probably thousands of them... you can be a fan of South Park, a fan of Cheerios, etc. Anyway, out of curiousity, I checked to see if I could become a fan of Wet Seal (WTSLA), and the answer was NO.

There did not exist a Wet Seal fan page. And, being the dork I am, I created one a week ago. And, now we're up to a whopping 104 fans! Ha ha. This is so silly, but I get a kick out of it.

Anyway, as the admin of that page, I can see the statistics kept for it. Here's a snapshot I just took. The plot at the top shows the growth of the fan base over the past week. They should hire me part-time.

Of all my stocks that are getting pummeled recently in this crappy market, Wet Seal (WTSLA) has been doing alright. They recently had some deal going on with some young teen music duo called Prima J. Anyway, the company is giving away free tank tops sporting the newly coined term, "Chilosa." While I won't have any use for this, I thought that maybe some of you might (for your kids).

Newbie Fashion Stylist

Wet Seal (WTSLA) announced today the launch of their new online fashion community. One of the features of this community is the ability to put items from the actual online store into a virtual closet. Then, you are allowed to build and share outfits from things found in your closet.

As an individual holding a rather large block of shares, I felt it was my duty to at least check it out. I really didn't know what to expect from it, and didn't have any idea on the coolness factor. More importantly, I wasn't sure if it would really help generate more sales or not. But, after playing with it a bit, I guess I can see how it can be beneficial.

Anyway, here's my first outfit. I published it on the Runway under my stylist name, Fashion Professor. I am now awaiting reviews, so please give me some love by clicking on the "Love It" button. Probably not the hippest outfit, but I would like to think that it's passable.

From the comments I've read, most people totally dig the jeans (shown above), and most are not fans of the animal print style, nor the 80's fashion look. But, I guess we will know soon how well it all sells. Her collection is slated for release on April 22.
