My friend sent me this link to an online tool to create abstract art called Bomomo. I played with it a bit, and I created a few pieces. Only one of them was to my liking. I also performed some color adjustment, and I think it worked out well.
Here is the original version followed by the final one after I tweaked the colors a bit. It's pretty cool how the colors dramatically change how the piece is perceived.
And, here's the same image after running it through an edge detector. Pretty cool looking.

Wow. The edge detector result is great. Which software and setting did you use?

Hi Philipp. Great art tool.
I used Paint Shop Pro and I simply used their "Find All Edges" option. Then, I used their "colorize" tool to get the colors I wanted. It really does look cool.
Thanks for dropping by.
this is really cool, I tried it out but mine isn't as good as yours... :

plus I couldn't find a free edge detector...
Gemma -- I liked the art. I think GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/) has an edge detection feature. Might be worth checking out.
thanks, I used to have gimp except my little sister (5 yrs) killed the computer (put jam in the CD holder along with some money) I'll see if I can reinstall it :)
I think I'm in love with Bomomo...I found it in the Google Chrome extensions, and haven't been able to stop creating great abstract art! Who knew?
