Logic Pattern Puzzles

Here are a few logical pattern-based puzzles that I have come across recently. I'll provide four of them here (you can click on the images to load them up in larger size). Each puzzle is multiple choice, and so 5 possible answers are provided. I was able to figure out the first two. But, the other two, I'm really unsure about despite having some ideas on how they work. So, if you can explain the last two, please let me know. Have fun.

Puzzle 2

I got the first 2 quickly (hopefully I'm right) and the 2nd 2 were a bit of a guess with some haphazard logic.

I have:

#1: E
#2: E
#3: A
#4: A

Is that right? (bear in mind it's 5:08am so don't chide me for being wrong, if I am!)

Ok, with some sleep, I'm pretty sure I have #3 right now. I can explain that one without this so-called haphazard logic I previously mentioned. #4 I'm still not quite sure about.

Ya, I'm a moron. Seems everyone could get #3, but I kept getting thrown off by one thing. For #4, I suspect that the answer is letter D (answer C), but I'm really unsure.
